Frequently Asked Questions
We normally have 40 flavors available,
Good question! There are a number of products in our market that have the “all natural” label. The general guidelines by the FDA of “natural” is that nothing synthetic (including all color additives regardless of source) or artificial has been included in, or has been added to, a component that would not normally be expected to be in that food.
Surprisingly, the USDA products with “All Natural” can still contain a multitude of additives, hormones, genetically modified ingredients (GMO’s), antibiotics and pesticides.
Each ingredient in our Delicious Horse Treats is truly natural. Each of our flavors contain ONLY fruit, vegetables and / or plants. Most treats have less than 5 ingredients, listed with each flavor. Pure Apple has only one ingredient –Apple!! You can see the content and guaranteed analysis of each of our treats by clicking on “Shop Now” and the click on the individual treat picture.
Our products are identified by their shape, color and an aroma that is distinct to the flavor. There are a number of shapes – Rings, Sticks, Stars, Hearts, Balls and Flowers.
Delicious Horse Treats are best kept in a dry environment, without direct sunlight. Depending upon environment, the treats will last at least a year. At no time are the treats unsafe.
We recommend only that the daily maximum consumption for horses is not more than 2 ½ pounds of treats.
The manufacturing process includes testing of ingredient percentages both before and after production. Additionally we have independent analysis completed on products after the packaging process.
Absolutely! In fact, when we sell our treats at equestrian events, buyers often mix 4 or more flavors in a bucket. We provide a brochure which has a flavor key to identify the particular treat flavor.
We do make some flavor changes, though many of our Delicious Horse Treats are petty standard and well accepted (by horses, o course). We are working on a couple of new flavors which should be available in a few months’ time.
Most equestrian entities have ongoing fund raising programs, with varying degrees of success. Understanding this, every sale of our product has a component that is donated to such organizations. Ideally we would like a greater participation of organizations to take advantage of these programs. Donations are made from sales outside of the partnership program as well.
